*!!FUCK THE CLEVELAND INDIANS!!*

Today the Cleveland Indians dealt ace Cliff Lee to the Philadelphia Phillies. This kind of shit pisses me off!!! This is coming from a person, me, that doesn't really even like baseball but loves Cleveland sports. Reigning AL Cy Young winner, Cliff Lee is 7-9 so far this year, with a 3.14 era on, let me remind you, THE 4TH WORST TEAM IN ALL OF BASEBALL!!!! Those are pretty damn good number for playing on a team that can produce runs and had a mediocre defense. Think back, 2 years ago we were 1 game away from making the world series and probably winning it against the Colorado Rockies (who got swept but the Red Sox). When the season started, in my eyes the Indians had 3 maybe 4 valuable players that should not have been traded, Cliff Lee, Victor Martinez, Marc DeRosa, and Grady Sizemore. 2 of the 4 are gone! Im tired of getting "prospects" and giving up proven MLB players.

The Lee deal went like this:
To Philadelphia:
P - Cliff Lee
OF - Ben Francisco

To Cleveland:
4 Fucking minor league pieces of shit!!!

but seriously
P - Carlos Carrasco
P - Jason Knapp
SS- Jason Donald

ESPN called Lou Marson the "likely heir apparent" to Victor. I swear to god, if the Indians trade Victor, I will not watch another Indians game this season...

GOD DAMNITT!!!!!!

Honestly, I just disappointed in what the Cleveland Indians organization has become. Eric Wedge MUST go, and most likely will at the end of the season. It's just frustrating to not be contenders and to be the team that continually gives away their good players for basically nothing. I will always love Cleveland sports no matter how bad our teams are. Congrats to the Phillies for making this trade happen and strengthening their bullpen and making their team an elite contender. The word from the general public was that the Phillies dealing for Lee was the wrong decision, and they should have made a stronger push for Roy Halladay. That's just fucking stupid talk! Lee is now on a great defensive team and a team that can actually produce runs to support him. And on top of that Philadelphia was able to stipulate the players they would give to Cleveland, and basically said to Cleveland they wouldn't give up certain top prospects.

Here is a snippet from one of the many ESPN articles about the Lee deal

"At the root of this deal was balancing the conviction of our ability to compete in 2010 with the opportunity to impact the team's construction for years to come," Indians general manager Mark Shapiro said in a statement. "Without the sense of confidence in the team's ultimate competitiveness, we acted aggressively to add players that will impact the organization in 2010 and beyond."

The Phillies weren't required to give up pitcher J.A. Happ or the three prospects they balked at trading for Roy Halladay -- outfielders Dominic Brown and Michael Taylor and pitcher Kyle Drabek.

Asked in Seattle whether he felt the Blue Jays dodged a bullet by the Phillies acquiring Lee instead of Halladay, Toronto manager Cito Gaston noted that some of Philadelphia's top prospects were still available and said with a chuckle, "Yeah, I guess. Who knows? They may come back and get [Halladay], too. That'd be a pretty good staff there, wouldn't it?"

Lee, the 2008 AL Cy Young winner who turns 31 next month, is having another solid season for the Indians, posting a 3.14 ERA while walking just 33 in 152 innings. He will make $8 million in 2010 and then be eligible for free agency.

Lee would be the sixth Cy Young winner to be traded in the offseason or during the season following his Cy Young win. Last season, 2007 AL Cy Young winner CC Sabathia was traded by the Indians to the Milwaukee Brewers.
